 | Frequently Asked Questions We understand that clients typically have a lot of questions when entering the world of Kosher—or "kashruth". In order to answer some of the more frequently asked questions, we have placed them below. A: Kosher, or its Hebrew equivalent, "kashruth" is the Hebrew word for "correct" or "proper" and it means that the food complies with the dietary rules of Jewish Law. For a more detailed explanation see our "Defining Kosher" page. Q: We want to go kosher; we hear it's better for our business, but isn't it expensive? A: Not with us. We only charge a reasonable fee based upon travel time and frequency of visit. For more, see our "What are the costs" page. Q: Can becoming kosher be demanding? A: Not with us. We are sensitive to your need to run your company and we are unintrusive and considerate of you and your employees. Q: What if we are open on the Sabbath? A: If you are not Jewish, this is no problem whatsoever. Even if you are Jewish, although we want every Jew to observe the Sabbath, there are some options available. Q: If we obtain certification from your agency, will another accept it? A: Yes, politics notwithstanding. Although we are not as large as some others, we are well known, and we follow the Kosher Laws strictly to the letter. Q: What Is the International Kosher Council?
